Brentwood Celebrates National School Librarian Day

Saturday was National School Librarian Day, and April is School Library Month — making it a perfect time to celebrate the incredible impact of our library media specialists.

Brentwood’s library media specialists play a vital role in the daily life of our schools. They are not only keepers of books, but also collaborators, educators and innovators who help bring learning to life for our students.

Through their work, students discover books that inspire them, explore ideas that expand their thinking, and build the skills they need to navigate an increasingly complex world of information. Whether supporting classroom instruction, guiding research or introducing new technologies, our library media specialists help students grow as thoughtful, curious and capable learners.

They also create spaces where students feel welcome, supported and encouraged to explore their interests. Our libraries are places of connection and discovery, where a love of reading is nurtured and a sense of belonging is strengthened.

During School Library Month, we are proud to recognize and thank our library media specialists for the meaningful difference they make each day. Their dedication enriches our schools and supports the success of every student they serve.
